About Us

We are Leila & Harun of So Happy Together. A Canadian and American husband-and-wife documentary filmmaking duo telling cinematic love stories with honesty and soul.

Between us, we speak seven languages, including French and Spanish, and bring over two decades of experience capturing human stories across weddings, documentaries, and art exhibitions worldwide.

Based in Spain’s Costa Brava near the French border and moving seamlessly between Spain and the South of France, we create films that feel intimate, cinematic, and deeply personal. Our approach is rooted in connection. We understand that being in front of a camera can feel vulnerable, so our priority is to help you feel at ease -free to be fully yourselves- so the emotions we capture are real, not performed.

Alongside our arthouse wedding films, our documentary work has been screened at international festivals including the Cannes Film Festival, Hot Docs in Toronto, the UN Film Festival in San Francisco, IOM in Paris and at the UN in Geneva. Storytelling, in all its forms, is at the heart of what we do.
